A note from John

I started this business in 2001 while I was still working nights as a police sergeant. Karen and I still run it, and when you call the office you get Penny, Karen or me, not a call center.

We never wanted to run a standard playbook. We blend our own fertilizer, we were one of the first franchises to help develop the Yard Armour tick and mosquito program, and our field research helped shape Hydra-Guard. What we don’t do is call you every month trying to sell you something else. Pick a program, and we take care of the lawn.

Your lawn concierge

Meet Jean-Marc. His job is to check our work, not to sell you something.

Year one: intensive care. Every new lawn goes into Jean-Marc’s first-year oversight program. He walks it between treatments, makes sure each application did what it was supposed to, and gets the weeds and insects under control before the next season starts.

After that: he is still yours. Any customer, any year, can ask for Jean-Marc. He will also go over your account with you, so long-time customers hear about newer programs and any loyalty discounts that come with them.

  • Jean-Marc is not paid on commission. If a change makes sense for your lawn he will tell you; if it doesn’t, he will tell you that too
  • Answers your questions at your door and explains what the technician is doing and why
  • If something is not right, he fixes it before you have to call

We do not know of another lawn care company in Rockland or Bergen that gives you one.
